Daniel Moore is designated by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law. Daniel graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia Law in 1995 and obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from Carleton University in 1992.
Daniel’s practice has focused on criminal law since being called to the Bar in 1997 after articling with Heller, Rubel. His practice also includes the representation of clients in quasi-criminal and regulatory matters.
Daniel grew up in North Bay, Ontario and still does cases there occasionally. Although he practices primarily in the Greater Toronto Area Daniel continues to represent clients across the province – from Thunder Bay to Brockville.
Daniel conducts both trials and appeals and has appeared as counsel in the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Justice. He has also appeared before the Ontario Review Board, Coroner’s Court, the License Appeal Tribunal and a number of professional disciplinary bodies.
Daniel was a part-time lecturer for the Paralegal Program at Seneca College from 2007-2009.
Daniel is a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association, the Advocates' Society, the Toronto Lawyers' Association and the Mental Health Legal Committee. He also serves as a volunteer Duty Counsel with the Law Society of Upper Canada.
