Murray Shore is a senior member of Heller, Rubel. He is designated by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law.
Murray received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 1972. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University in 1975 and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1977.
Since 1978 Murray has practiced exclusively in the areas of criminal, quasi-criminal, and regulatory law. Murray defends individuals and corporations in trials and appeals in connection with all types of offences, in all levels of court throughout Ontario and, on occasion, in other Provinces. He represents clients in investigations, provides legal advice to other lawyers, assists with cross-border and international criminal law issues, and helps victims of crime with the investigative and court process.
In addition to his private practice, Murray acted as a part-time Assistant Crown Attorney and conducted prosecutions in all of the Provincial Courts in the greater Metropolitan Toronto area from 1980-1990. Murray also acted for the Public Complaints Commission from 1982-1986, by conducting disciplinary hearings before the Police Complaints Board inquiring into allegations of misconduct by members of the Metropolitan Toronto Police.
